1.Library Hours :-

The Library hours of Madhyamgram B.Ed College are as follows :

M.Ed. :- 11.00 am to 1.00 pm

B.Ed :- 1.00 am to 2.30 pm

D.El.Ed:- 2.30 pm to 4.00 pm

2.Library Staff :-]

There are two staff and one assistant in our Library. They are :-

  1. Sukla Roy
  2. Tapasi Deb
  3. Subir Guha

3.Library Services :-

We give the various types of library resources like Books, Journals, Reference Books, Story books, Newspapers, Magazines etc providing to the students and teachers. Internet facilities providing to the students.

4.Rules and Regulations :-

  1. Students are not allowed in the Library without membership Cards .
  2. Library membership Card is compulsory while issuing books for home issuing .
  3. Strict silence should be maintained inside the Library.
  4. Books can be borrowed for home issuing ( Maximum 05 for 20 days fpr staff , 02 books for students for 14 days) .
  5. After exceeding the above mentioned days , students have to pay Rs. 2 for each day up to next one month and Rs. 5 for each day for the next month.
  6. Mobile phone must be silence mode before entering the library .
  7. The books must be shelved by the users and should not be left on the table.
  8. Carrying food items are strictly prohibited in the library .
  9. For reading purpose maximum two books can be issued for a day and it must be returned to the librarian before leaving the library .

5.LMS :-  

KOHA is a fully – featured , Scalable library management system . It is a comprehensive solution designed to simplify library operations and provide efficient management of library resources . KOHA is an open source library management system which means it is freely available and can be customized according to the special needs of each library .

KOHA offers a seamless experience for both library staff and patrons promoting ease of use and efficient workflows . KOHA supports several query languages such as SRU and 239.50 .

Facelities provided through KOHA Software :-

  1. It enable us to know the number and names of the Books , Journals , Reference Books etc .
  2. It help us to prepare the Cards of Teachers and Students .
